Now with some freshly-burned Debian CDs, I was ready to take the plunge and delete Windows. I say it was a "plunge" because: how could I be sure my Debian CDs would work? What would happen if I had to re-install Windows?

Well, I could have re-installed Windows, if I had a problem, because I had a Windows CD. But, for various reasons, I didn't want to have to use it.

So, it was with some risks that I formatted my C:. But now, my laptop was ready for dock with a new operating system.
